Who We Are and What This Covers

This Privacy Policy is issued by taSki Technologies Private Limited (Corporate Identification Number U63090KL2017PTC050984), a company incorporated under the Companies Act with its registered office at 43/203, 1st Floor, PPJC Towers, Kalavath Road, Palarivattom, Ernakulam, Kerala 682025, India (“taSki”, “we”, “us”). For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, taSki is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

It covers this website (taski.in and its subdomains), the taSki corporate travel and employee transport platform, the driver and employee mobile apps, and the sales and support channels through which we respond to enquiries.

Where taSki provides transport services to your employer under a corporate contract, your employer determines what data is shared with us and why. In those cases your employer is the Data Fiduciary and we act on their instructions. Requests about that data should go to your employer first; we will assist them in answering you.

What This Website Collects

Nothing is recorded about your browsing until you agree to it.

When you first visit, we ask whether you are willing to let us measure how the site is used. If you decline, or simply do not answer, no analytics are collected and no identifier is stored for that purpose. Declining does not limit any part of the site.

If you accept analytics

We record the pages you open, the order you open them in, how long each page is visible, how far down each page you scroll, and the website or campaign link that brought you here. We also record a coarse location and device description derived from your IP address.

What we deliberately do not do

• We do not use advertising networks, trackers or third-party analytics services. The measurement described above is our own, sent to our own servers, and shared with nobody.
• We do not use device fingerprinting — no canvas, font or hardware profiling — which would identify people who declined.
• We do not build profiles for advertising, sell personal data, or make automated decisions that produce legal effects.
• We do not track you across other websites, and we have no ability to see where you go after you leave.

If you contact us

When you complete the demo form or open a chat, we keep what you tell us — your name, work email, phone number, company and message — in our customer records so we can reply and, if you become a customer, manage the relationship. We also keep the IP address the submission came from and the result of our automated spam checks, which we need to defend the form against abuse.

If you had accepted analytics before making contact, the pages you viewed are linked to your enquiry so that the person who replies understands what you were looking at. If you declined analytics, no such history exists and nothing is linked.

Chat

Chat conversations are stored so we can answer you, refer back to what was agreed, and improve our support. A member of our team may begin a chat with you while you are on the site. This is only possible for visitors who accepted analytics, and the conversation is visible to you in the same chat window — nothing is observed silently that you cannot see.

Cookies and Local Storage

This website does not use advertising or third-party cookies. It stores a small number of values in your browser, listed in full below.

You can withdraw or grant consent at any time using the control on this page. Clearing your browser's site data for taski.in removes all of the above, and we will simply ask again on your next visit.

Scope of Application

This Privacy Statement is applicable to any person irrespective of any geographical boundaries, using our apps or Services to request transportation, delivery, or other on-demand services (“Users”).

taSki collects information you provide to us, as when you create / modify your account, request services, contact customer care, or have any other communication with us.

Information We Collect Through Your Use of Our Services

When you use our Services, we collect information about you in the following general categories:

Information We Collect From Tertiary Sources

We may also receive information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our Services. For example:

• If your employer uses one of our enterprise solutions, such as taSki for Corporate solutions, we may receive information about you from your employer.
• When you request on demand services, our Drivers may provide us with a User rating after providing services to you.
• If you also interact with our Services in another capacity, for instance as a Driver or user of other apps we provide, we may combine or associate that information with information we have collected from you in your capacity as a User or rider.

Use of Information

We may use the information we collect about you so as to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Services, including, for example, to facilitate payments, send receipts, provide products and services you request, make developments and feature implementations on feedback or otherwise, provide customer support to Users and Drivers, authenticate users, and send product updates and administrative communication;
• Perform internal operations, including, for example, to prevent unwanted activities and abuse of our Services; to troubleshoot software glitches and operational issues; to conduct data analysis, testing, and to analyze usage trends;
• Send you communication we think will be of interest to you, on choice- including information about products, services, promotions, news, and events of taSki and other companies, where permissible and according to local applicable laws; and to process promotion entries and fulfil any related awards;
• Personalize and improve the Services, including provision or recommendation of features, content, social connections, advertisements, referrals and such.

Information Sharing

We may share the information we collect about you as described in this Statement or as described at the time of collection or sharing, including as follows:

Through Our Services — your information may be shared:

• With Drivers to enable them to provide the Services you request. For example, we share your name, photo (if you provide one), average User rating given by Drivers, and pickup and/or drop-off locations with Drivers;
• With third parties to provide you a service you requested through a partnership or promotional offering made by a third party or us;
• With the general public if you submit content in a public forum, such as blog comments, social media posts, or other features of our Services that are viewable by the public;
• With third parties with whom you choose to let us share information, for example other apps or websites with an API or Service with which we integrate to/ from;
• With your employer and any necessary third parties engaged by us or your employer if you are a patron such as for our corporate mobility solutions.
• With taSki subsidiaries and affiliate entities that provide services or process processing data for us or for logistics;
• With vendors, consultants, marketing partners, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf;
• With law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our User agreements, Terms of Service, or policies, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of taSki or others;
• On any merger or sale of company assets and such negotiations, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company;
• If we otherwise notify you, and you consent to the sharing of such requested information.

Social Sharing Features

taSki may integrate social sharing features and other related tools which let you share actions you take on our Services with other apps, sites, or media, or vice versa. Please refer to the privacy policies of those social sharing services for more information about how they handle the data you provide to or share through them.

Third Party Services

We may obtain analytics services for us from third party service providers, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and to track and report on the performance of such advertisements. These entities may use necessary technologies to identify your device when you visit our site and use our Services, as well as when you visit other sites and services.

Account Information

You may revise your account information by logging into your online or in-app account. If you wish to terminate your account with us, please email us at info@taSki.in. Please note that in some cases we may retain certain information about you as required for legal and legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law.

Location Permits

We request permission for our app’s collection of precise location from your device per the permission system used by your mobile operating system. Even if you initially permit the collection of this information, you can later disable it by changing the location settings on your mobile device. However, this will limit your ability to use certain features of our Services.

Contact Information

We may also seek permission for our app’s collection and syncing of contact information from your device per the permission system used by your mobile operating system. Please refer to the permissions and sync settings particular to your mobile device platform.

Promotional Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional messages from us by means of an ‘opt out’ provision as informed to you in our promotional communications. Even if you’ve opted out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or on any services you may have requested with us.

How Long We Keep Personal Data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires.

Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights over your personal data.

• Access — a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
• Correction and completion — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed, and to have data updated.
• Erasure — to have your personal data deleted where we no longer need it for the purpose it was collected for, and where the law does not require us to keep it.
• Withdrawal of consent — to withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. For website analytics, the control on this page does it immediately.
• Grievance redressal — to have a complaint answered by our Grievance Officer, named below.
• Nomination — to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done lawfully before you withdrew it, and we may still keep data where another lawful ground applies — for example an invoice we are required to retain.

If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you additionally have the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for website analytics is your consent; for responding to an enquiry it is the steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract; for operating our platform it is the performance of our contract with your employer.

How to exercise them

Write to privacy@taski.in from the email address we hold for you, or to the Grievance Officer at the address below, describing what you would like us to do. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, to be sure we are not disclosing your data to somebody else.

How We Protect Personal Data

taSki holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system. Personal data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest in our databases and file storage. Access is restricted to staff whose role requires it, is individually authenticated with multi-factor authentication, and is logged.

Our infrastructure is hosted in Amazon Web Services' Mumbai region, within India. Where a service provider processes personal data outside India, we do so only in countries not restricted by the Central Government and under contractual protections.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as the Act requires. To report a security concern, write to security@taski.in.

Children

Our services are intended for use by businesses and their employees. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under 18, and we do not engage in tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to privacy@taski.in and we will delete it.

Grievance Officer and Contact

If you have a question or complaint about how we handle personal data, please contact our Grievance Officer. You are entitled to an answer, and if you are not satisfied with it you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Acknowledgements

Approximate location and network information is derived using the DB-IP Lite databases, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. IP geolocation by DB-IP (https://db-ip.com). The lookup runs on our own servers; your IP address is not sent to DB-IP or any other third party for this purpose.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

taSki may make period changes to this document. If we make changes of significant nature in the way we treat your personal information, or to the Statement, we will provide you notice by suitable communication channels, such as by email. We recommend you to review the statement for the latest information on our privacy policies, time and on.
